Where can I find the "host" file in Win 7
The Hosts file is normally located at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\ as you well know.
If it is not there, look for its location in registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\DataBasePath.

I need to add a host at "%WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" but I can't find it in my Win 7.
All help is very welcome.
